Rebrand: The Wonderly Company
A before and after – with a cautionary tale
Founded in 1919, The Wonderly Company grew to become a world-renowned commercial drapery company with a large client base in the hospitality industry.
For their centenary in 2019, we were proud to create their 100th anniversary mark. This initiated ongoing conversations about rebranding the company for the 21st century, although no decisions to act on this were made.
Then, in 2020, the COVID pandemic hit with devastating impact. The hospitality sector went into shutdown almost overnight, wiping out the majority of Wonderly’s business in an instant.
Immediately, we were called in to rebrand the company in an effort to resuscitate their business. The hope was that a fresh brand strategy supported by a new visual design system would appeal to a savvy audience and attract new business from other industry sectors.
Unfortunately, and with great sadness, The Wonderly Company was unable to recover in time, and they ceased operations in 2021.
