Gillis Architects

Ralph Gillis and I have been designing projects for each other for over 40 years.

I first met Ralph in 1980 when he and I were each launching the first iteration of our professional practices in New York City. His was Architects Associates, and mine was The Whelan Design Office (WDO), the predecessor of Ditto! Design!

Ralph designed WDO’s two offices and the renovation of my summer house on Shelter Island.

And throughout the evolution of Ralph’s firm into Gillis Architects, I’ve designed their stationery, business cards, marketing collateral, signage, logos, and websites.

Ralph’s business continues to adapt to the times, and I’m proud to be part of that journey. I particularly enjoy designing unique commemorative T-shirts for their staff’s Annual Summer Outing every year. You can see more of these designs here.
